“Beautiful views, spacious. Good water pressure in the shower. Room 10 had a nice outdoor sitting area on the veranda with excellent views of the river. Excellent casting system from phone to smart TV, which was the easiest set-up we’ve encountered. The room was an ordinary motel room, a little dated. I awoke in the morning with a cockroach crawling up my leg, but my wife who is from NSW assures me that this is not unexpected. () There was insect spray in the cupboard though and my sandal worked a treat. I agree this could happen anywhere. However, all in all, we’re glad we found a reasonable price on Agoda for $154 because anymore would not be value for money. You can only play the “location location location” card so far when it is really an old but tidy motor inn. The business did not respond to emails with “booking direct for less” enquiries and the website was more expensive. If booking through Agoda, be aware that the reception was expecting us to be able to self check-in with a key safe and we hadn’t been provided with any details. We were cheerfully let in by a manager/staff member at 3:30pm on a Thursday but had unexpectedly disturbed him in his residence. We would stay again at the right price.”
“This is a wonderful hotel in a pretty and quiet place. Rooms are clean and their service is out of this world! We were looking for somewhere affordable to stay between Narooma and Sydney and weren't disappointed. The beds are firm and even have electric blankets: a Godsend for cold Queenslanders down south for winter. The rooms are large, clean and have decent water pressure: except in the shower where they've put one of those water saving throttlers. Very quiet, and gorgeous location in the early morning sun. Older, but very sturdy and clean. My son left his toys by mistake, and the proprieter went out of her way to mail them back to us. This is my son's prized toy and he was so thankful. I couldn't recommend Anchor Bay more!”
